Ole Miss contesting the Lack of institutional control and Head coach responsibility legislation. So basically head coach and athletic department accused of looking the other way.

Remember when Ole Miss decided to slide their punishment in the media when Baylor was getting neutered in the news. Well, this is karma. Nothing quite like "owning" up to everything and them finding 8 major violations after Laremy got Tunsilled.

When does the Ole Miss coaching search thread open?

I knew something was wrong when they landed that top 5 recruiting class out of the blue.  Ole Miss has been college football backwater for as long as I can remember.   Changes like that are usually gradual in football and very rare.  Looks like Saban's recruiting just got a lot easier.  Ole Miss was winning a lot of head to head battles the past few years.

When is Ole Miss going to stop?

Houston Nutt will finish burying them now. I believe it is 4 NEW violations that he is reporting by way of that lawsuit involving Freeze and recruiting. So the "it was all Houston Nutt's fault" defense didn't work AND they are going to get sued and new penalties in addition.

SMH Freeze isn't too smart. If you're going to do something like that at least get a a paid cell phone.

Okay, I got the best guy for the job.

It will take 5 years to recover from probation, so why not put someone entertaining in there to keep the program relevant?

Les Miles is the perfect 5 year coach for that situation. Reporters love covering Les, and it would get them in news cycle 3-4 times a year as they go 4-8.

No one in their right mind takes a job with 10 wavering 3 star commitments for 2018, and zero for 2019. Only a grandpa with a little bit left in the tank need apply.

Anyone going to coach at ole miss is going to have the same recruiting issues.   Ole Miss doesn't have the facilities of Bama or LSU or UGA to sell them.  They are a bottom tier athletic program in the SEC and have been forever.  It doesn't matter who coaches their.   You can't win the recruiting wars at Ole Miss without cheating.
