I like the idea but I think we all know Jerry is holding the back-up role for Tony. Why else would you allow an injured Kellen Moore to return and claim the role even though you a player showing potential to be another Matt Moore.

Forgetting all of the ancillary bs, Kaepernick would be a great back-up to Dak and maybe the second best back-up in the NFL. After making a stand that will only become part of the norm moving forward, Kaepernick said he would stand during the anthem.

Granted, Kaepernick did some things that made his protest a negative thing but we all make mistakes and if you give second chances to wife beaters you should give second chances to everyone.

Ive always been a Kaepernick fan,,. the game that caught my eye, he beat a top ranked Boise team QB'd by Kellen Moore, with very little NFL talent around Kaep. Last season, he played very well... and many can't name his teammates or offensive coaches.

It reminds me of the year the Boys picked up Bernie Kosar. Granted, the Jerry era is not about winning at all cost and 'Roy didn't like the move but Bernie produced in big situations.

I think Kaep would do the same...

No!!! I dont care about the distractions he may or may not cause. I don't like his skill set as an NFL quarterback. He's a great athlete but a mediocre quarterback.

JJ will not put up with Kap...no way, no how!

What do you mean by that? Kap did nothing wrong. He's just not a good fit at quarterback.

Perfect fit here in Dallas. Plus he'd be doing the NFL a tremendous favor perhaps saving them a discrimination suit.

It's the least Jerry can do. Take one for the home team. Just leave him in locker room until the Anthem is over.

Before the 9/11 attacks the players were always in the locker room until after the anthem. Now people are mad because some players are tired of the horse and pony show the NFL has made it into??? Hypocrisy

Skip stirring th pot...haha. Gotta get those rating, mane. Kap+Cowboys=clicks.

No worries for those who dislike Kap, JG would throw a fit if Jerry made that move, seriously... Armageddon level fit.

Kap would be a good fit in Dallas, but he would have to accept the backup role and team friendly deal. However, Skip needs TV ratings and that's why he has mentioned it.

Here is the deal, Kap would be a great fit as QB backup with any NFL team, not just the Boys.

We could use a backup QB with Super Bowl experience.

Only way Jerry would sign the average QB is if Dak was out for the year, Rush ends up being garbage, and Tony says he likes broadcasting better. I still believe Tony is a Cowboy they just had him retire to save money for the team.

I don't why people think Kaep would be a good fit or is even good. His completion % and/or accuracy reeks and always has. It was SF's defense that took them to the playoffs, not Kaep.

Two questions:

1) Can CK conform to the O-system?
2) Will he agree to a cap-friendly salary structure?

Personally, I don't want him here. A lot of people are still VERY much against him for the National Anthem thing, and I don't think he's a franchise QB. That said, it SEEMS like the Liberal Dems have been slowly winning converts. With all the "sideline prayer groups" becoming trendy on FB, maybe Jerry is itching to draw the attention off of Zeke.

Guess I'm going to have to start giving warnings for opening stuff in the wrong forum.   We learned how to categorize in like 1st grade.

My doctor told me to start killing people.   Well, not  in those exact words.   He said I had to reduce the stress in my life.    Same thing, really.
