I read an interesting Cowboys segment today, the author suggested the Cowboys attempt to draft their QB of the future in next year's first round. Says Cooper Rush is promising but doesn't like that he's an UDFA.

Agree or not? I say no

Yeah and let's trade Martin and Frederick for two 1sts and draft a punter and kicker.

What could actually happen and would be a mistake, is the team takes a WR or Guard in the first round when they need major help in the front 4 of the defensive line. The D isnt getting off the field during 3 downs and lack of pass rush is a HUGE reason why. You want to know why we are getting ready to be 2-3 already? Thats it.

We have proven that you can get the right qb in later rounds.

QB? 5th round or later...Cooper lowers th need to find guy, since he's being developed. However, I'm all for keeping that position well stocked like drunk's medicine cabinet.

They argued we need a better STARTING quarterback though. Not sure if Cooper is ready.

A starter? That's poor asset management. Again, smart business having multiple starter type QBs but not when th rest of th team is average.

There's a considerably good argument to be made that the Cowboys don't have a legit starting QB on the roster, particularly since Romo works comfortably with Jim Nantz these days instead of busting his back on the field.

There's not a single argument that we don't have a legit starting QB.

If anyone tells you otherwise, just smack them and tell them not to reproduce.

IDK ask Jet, Browns, Jags, 49ers an other fans would they want a non-legitimate QB like DAL.

I reckon you could add about 25 more teams to that list.  Bang for buck Dak may be the best value player in the league.

I agree that you're an idiot and the person who wrote that even more so. Go back to the Eagles or Giants forum or whatever troll planet you zoomed in from

Dak is not the problem.  He is not A A Ron but he is a good qb, a good leader and is not hurting us at all.  We have GAPING holes and QB is not one of them.  So NOPE, no need to draft a QB.

lmao. Reminds me of the dumb posts from Sarek during the 2011 season going on about how we should tank for Andrew Luck.
