I miss him too but its a absolute shame he was the last impact safety we had. Our safties are jokes. Heath should be playing special teams and Jones should be playing corner. Neither should be getting exposed week after week with piss poor tackling and taking horrible angles

I knew this secondary was not going to be ready. I would not pay Scandrick another contract. If we are going to start over, then let's start over. 2-3 years away from a viable defense, with help from free agency. Hats off to the DC Marinelli, getting what you can out of this horrible defense. If he had the talent, he could control some games.

Roy Williams. He was a stud traditional box safety. The horse collar and safety rules phased him out quick. He was as good as it gets sure he had issues in coverage like a lot of box guys do. Him and Woody were the last.

this.  it's just unbelievable to me that we have failed to really address this position, let's say, since roy was at his height, like in 2004.  and rearely has a game passed since that ill-fated night in dallas when santana moss drove two stakes through roy willimas'--and my--heart, that i haven't lamented not having woody, that we never really got him back after injuries started keeping him out.  it's time to pay serious attention to safety.  i like jeff heath, he's a great special teamer and, as we saw today, solid emergency kicker,  and he makes play in the nickel, but he shouldn't be out there every play.

One of my all-time favs. Glad I got to see his induction into the ROH. Got to meet him on the flight down as well. Hell of a nice man.
