What do you all think of this trade? Is it possible, just plain dumb or what? LOL! Dak and Dez for Garoppolo and the 49ers 1st round pick.

I don't think the Niners are that dumb.

Anything is possible in fantasy land.  Garroppolo and Dak are a wash IMO there's been some good and bad there, both young and both have people believing they are the up and coming star QB.

So we basically get a top 5 pick for Dez?

Sorry

Didn't they hire Chip Kelly after he was fired from Philly?

How about you go on the Giants forum and suggest that with Old Eli and OBJ. They might go for it. I hear they're desperate

The 49ers just traded for him why would they want to trade him away? I can see trading Dez he is expensive but why trade Dak he is cheap.

Yeah, LOL...I didn't think it was realistic but maybe if we threw in a 2nd or 3rd round pick they might do it. Question is, if they said yes, would it be a good idea for Dallas?

Why trade Dak? Because I'm not sold on him being the future for the Cowboys.

While Dak has been less than optimal this season, I'm not ready to give up on him yet. He was handed the keys to the truck too soon, and now he's stuck in traffic. Give him more time to drive around in the parking lot and maybe he'll learn how to counter steer out of a fishtail.

I would do that trade all day because I like Jimmy G's potential....but 49ers would laugh and hang up probably.

One factor to consider: Garoppolo is going to want 20+ million after this season is up. Dak has two more seasons where he is 30 times cheaper than that.

So Dak has a great rookie year but regresses some his sophomore year after DCs get film on him and being saddled with a dumb coaching staff who won’t change the offense and instead of seeing if he can right the ship especially if new coaches are brought in you just want to ship him off. He is on a very cheap deal if they think he can’t turn it around they can go get another guy. Dak and the other guy can battle it out and if Dak loses he is a cheap backup.

Bandwagon'ers.
The playoffs start Week 1...not 10 or 12 or 13 games into the season....

And even after those 2 seasons Dak isn't going to cost us $20M/yr. Unless he gets a lot better, of course. Is that really what you prefer? A QB who doesn't command a top salary?

Darrell Royal

I might say this: we’ve always been a running team and I’m sure we will continue to be so. (We’ve been criticized for it, I might add.) But I’ve always felt that three things can happen to you whenever you throw the football, and two of them are bad. You can catch the ball, you can throw it incomplete, or have it intercepted.

You do realize this is just a forum, and not Jerry's ear? It is waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay to soon to decide if Dak is a bust or not. And trading is over till season is over. Niners have big plans for their guy.

Some days I don't know if I am washing or hanging out. Yes, I am a Dak fan. I also was a Tony fan.
